The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons sells a nice selection of orthopedic booklets and brochures. Booklets are 14-18 pages and list for $2.50 each (minimum order: 10 copies) and brochures come in bundles of 125, for $40.00.

Krames has a complete orthopedic line, with 40-50 booklets (depending on how you catagorize certain titles). Typically priced from $1.35 to $2.75 each, the handouts are expensive, but attractive.

The St John Companies is a provider of medical imaging products and other supplies that recently decided to aggressively enter enter the patient education business. Going head-to-head with Krames, St. John rolled about fifty 8-page, full-color, orthopedic booklets. Krames can't be too happy, since the list price of every St John booklet is $0.99; well below Krames' $1.35 to $2.75 prices.

Evergreen sells about 18 full-color orthopedic titles, each 7" by 10", and 8 pages. Crammed with information, these books list for $0.95 (minimum order = 25 copies) and include free imprinting at 200 copies.

Pritchett & Hull offers comprehensive booklets on the core orthopedic titles. Total Knee and Total Hip are 24-page books priced at $2.95 each, and the new Knee Arthroscopy booklet is a 16-page booklet for $2.75 P&H booklets are typically two-color, sturdy, with a cartoon art style, and lots of white space.
